Hi Ray! Thanks so much for visiting EcoPop TV and for your comment. Yeah, I thought that W series VAIO was so cool. The computer case was brilliant because it’s something we all end up needing for the computer. Not sure how they shipped them to the stores but hopefully less packaging was involved. Your AC adapter idea is great. Just shows there are so many components and parts of the manufacturing process where improvements can be made. It’s all about innovation!

Nice write up! The W-series VAIO is a neat little PC. Last year, it came with no box – just a computer bag made of recycled materials. Hopefully something way ahead of it’s time. In future, wouldn’t it be great not to have a new AC adapter come with each and every notebook computer? Lots of manufacturing and other waste associated with a drawer full of unneeded adaptors and cables .
